World Braille Day 2024 | The State of the Art of Teaching and Learning Braille in Brazil and Portugal | January 4th

The Braille Center, the Brazilian Braille Commission, the National Institute for Rehabilitation, I.P. (INR, I.P.) and the Directorate of Special Education Policies in the Inclusive Perspective, of the Secretariat of Continuing Education, Youth and Adult Literacy, Diversity and Inclusion, of the Brazilian Ministry of Education organize the commemorative session of World Braille Day 2024 , on the theme “The State of the Art of Braille Teaching-Learning in Brazil and Portugal”, which will take place online, on January 4, 2024, at 2:00 pm Brasília | 5pm in mainland Portugal, via the Zoom Platform webinar.

This session aims to (I) Celebrate World Braille Day 2024; (II) Take note of the state of the art in teaching and learning Braille, both in Brazil and in Portugal, through the knowledge and experience of the various interested parties; and (III) Provide a broad space for reflection and sharing of experiences on the teaching-learning of Braille in an educational and professional rehabilitation context for blind people and people with low vision, open to all teachers, students, professionals and other users of the system Braille and their families who in Brazil and Portugal intend to join this event.
